Portraitist Theo Reijnders was born in 1950 in a village called Deurne in the Netherlands. He started drawing portaits at the age of 18, and he used mainly a special type of coloured pencils in a pastel colour-mixture. Since several years he also uses waterbased materials like acrylic paint and water colours. He has done many different thing related to plastic arts, but his passion for portraits survived and developed through the years. Being a musician he loves blues and jazz, which is shown in the portraits. By using specific colours and light effects he creates a special sphere in his paintings.
Theo also made some great paintings of Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter, Johnny Winter, Jim Morrison, The Rolling Stones and many many more.
