Art on Willy DeVille

And we do not mean the well-intentioned photo editing, wallpapers and CD/DVD cover artwork which are circulated on the internet. But work with total commitment by using brush, pen, pencils or other tools by (semi)professionals and amateur artists. Also some of the many concert posters made over the years are very interesting and sometimes unique! Especially when it comes to work of Martin Kaye who designed all posters between 1972 and 1983 for 'the hottest place in town' Paradiso Amsterdam (Holland). Whether the concert posters of Leviathan, also true works of art. And the Montreux Jazz Festival poster or the Pinkpop poster, both from 1982 are also notable. The original "New York Rock" poster from the seventies, which also stated Mink DeVille is now a collectors item.


Professional artists such as Alfons Kiefer, Laurent Lejeune, Detlev Fothen and Herman Brood portrayed Willy in a wonderful way. And more commercial work such as from Sean Connolly.


Special versions such as a watercolor painting by Tomás Méndez, acrylic on vinyl (LP) by Don 'Crow Face' Harmens or graffiti on a fence by a huge fan and black & white acrylics on gray leather by Elena Rockinger.


For cartoonists and caricature artists such as Maëster, Pal Degome, Nalair, Emily Anthony and Guru Cyril Willy was a willing subject too.


Furthermore, many amateur works that often are very nice too including: JK.Zeewolde, Atelier72b, Mike Jones, Minke, Gillespy or Annette Kunów.
